Cole) with undated Ludgate Hill imprint of Richard Ware; frontispiece; 51 plates, each with 4 subjects; 5 folding maps of the Eastern Mediterranean and/or Holy Land; and plan of Jerusalem. bound between:/span The Book of Common Prayer . . . Together with the Psalter or Psalms of David. [56] leaves, preceded by extraneous contemporary engraved portrait of King George II, and additional title from another edition. and:/span A Brief Concordance or Table to the Bible of the Last Translation . . . Carefully Perused and Enlarged by John Downame, B. D. [36] leaves, including final blank. Together, 3 volumes in one. 4to, 249x196 mm, contemporary red morocco handsomely gilt, covers decorated with floral border around black morocco center onlay with Holy Monogram within flame border, spine in 6 compartments, lettered in one with ornamental tooling in the rest, expertly rebacked retaining original backstrip; occasional light toning and marginal foxing, short clean tear in a few maps. Tipped in front is a leaf with calligraphic presentation within hand-drawn cartouche in ink: "The Gift of Mrs. Hearle to her goddaughter and grandchild Lucy Kimber 1756."
