Oblong small folio; engraved title (mounted) followed by a series 85 numbered full-paged engravings of 90 by Pieter van der Borcht (circa 1530-1608); (lacking 5 plates, first title and divisional engraved title page both numbered); each plate depicting a section of the Bible, most plates interleaved with blanks; bound in full 18th century parchment over boards; with 19th century provenance, ex libris Elizabeth Carver of Long Stratton, St. Michael in Norfolk, England, with gift inscription dated 1837; signature of bibliographer, author and secretary to the University Library at Trinity College, Cambridge, Harry Gidney Aldis (1863-1919) dated 1893 on front pastedown, and an undated signature of W. Aldis on front fly-leaf; final plate with paper repairs to verso; some spotting and minor blemishes to contents; 11 x 8 in.
