- Notes: Translation by Silas Tertius Rand of the Gospel of Matthew, printed in Latin characters. Taped to the front free endpaper is a 19th-century handwritten leaf of Micmac ideographic characters, "from the Rev. Canon Morris of Halifax . . . who spent some time of his early life (1860-65) among the Mic-Mac Indians," according to a note by a descendant on the verso. Darlow & Moule 6788, Sabin 67760.
