Partly-printed Document accomplished and Signed, thrice, as Notary, certifying that Captain Richard States has sworn that the cargo of his schooner Yeatman bound for St. Thomas was shipped by Thomas Ketland and lost on Crab Island [due to shipwreck]. Additionally signed by States, Ketland and another. With an insurance certification signed by broker on first leaf, and list of the cargo on third. 1 page, 4to or small 4to, written on second leaf of 3 attached with wax at lower left; short closed tears at horizontal folds. Philadelphia, 15 April 1801


  • Notes: Clement Biddle (1740-1814) was a Quaker Colonel in the Revolutionary War, who participated in the battles of Brandywine, Germantown, and Monmouth, and who became a friend to both Nathanael Greene and George Washington.
