  • Notes: first edition of bierce's first book, ex-collection vincent starrett, Bierce's first bibliographer, noted collector, and prolific writer best-known for his 1933 novel The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, with his signature. With 32 pages of advertisements inserted at end. This issue preceded the American edition. Starrett 1; BAL 1096.
