The Ethiopians. Small Staffordshire-style dish, depicting a group of black musicians performing for some well-dressed whites passing-by in a carriage, off-brown transfer on a white paste base, 3 inches in diameter; unidentified hallmark on rear. Probably England, circa 1850s.
