BONFILS, FELIX (1831-1885)

Album of 52 photographs entitled "Palestine" comprising images of men at the wailing wall, a panorama of Jerusalem, many mosques and temples, a wonderful composite photograph of Bonfils and company by a river, a view of Jaffa by the sea, interiors and landscapes, and more. Albumen prints, 8 3/4x11 inches (22.2x27.9 cm.) and the reverse, many with Bonfil's signature and title in the negative, mounted one per page; oblong folio, gilt stamped morocco. Circa 1880s
