Apparently Moore told Sackheim that she disliked the main title of the work (pre - ferring Granite, Steel and other Topics) but reluctantly acceded to the publisher's wish. She wryly added her protest in this copy. The Sackheims sent copies of this book to friends as a holiday greeting in1967 choosing the piece Charity Overcoming Envy (page 18) as a "courier of our good wishes" and his greeting is laid in.
