[Howard University: WPA project, 1935] E400/600 Brown, African-American artist born in Wilmington, North Carolina, 1907, worked in almost all fields of art: sculpting, printmaking, and mixed media. He studied at Pennsylvania Museum School, Teacher's College of University of Pennsylvania, and others. His work is exhibited at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art and Philadelphia Museum of Art among others. This serigraph was part of the WPA "One World Series."
