- Notes: Naylor & Vickers was an important British steel manufacturing firm founded in 1828, and operated under many different variants on the Vickers name until 1999. This document includes original partnership agreements dated 28 January and 1 November 1853 for Naylor, Vickers & Co., their American division. Henry Lodge appears as a witness on both documents. The firm had a Boston office for many years, making a speciality of the sale of bells to New England churches.
