C.T. HOWARD (DATES UNKNOWN) WEST INDIES CRUISE BY P&O. 1932.
60x39 3/4 inches, 152 1/2x101 cm. The Lamson Agency, Ltd., London.
Condition A- / B+: repaired tears, creases and restoration in margins; creases along unobtrusive horizontal folds.
Howard was an illustrator and painter whose work seemed to mostly find its way onto postcards, primarily as landscapes, military scenes and railways, among many other subjects. This joyful, verdant island scene may well be his only poster, but the image was also used on a brochure in 1932, advertising a 38-day cruise on the Viceroy of India.
