  • Notes: Fr. Pedro Benito Cambon arrived at the San Diego mission in 1771. From there he helped Fr. Junipero Serra establish the San Buenaventura mission in Ventura in 1782.
    All 4 letters are addressed to Fr. Francisco Pangua of the College of San Fernando in Mexico. Includes: Letter Signed by Fr. Cambon. Concerning the diversion of the San Blas supply ship fleet from the California missions to Manila due to the war with England. San Diego, 14 December 1781 * 4 Letters Signed from Francisco Trillo y Vermudez, naval commissary at San Blas. All discussing Fr. Cambon, including supplies, and his work with the local Mestizos ("pobrecillos nestizos"). San Blas, 1782.
