Condition: This trimmed vintage photograph by Callahan is in excellent condition, with a crisp tones throughout. The print is flush mounted to a period board, and is signed, in ink, on mount verso.
The very edges of the print display slight chips and bumps, which are visible in raking light, including the lower and upper right corners. There's an area of emulsion loss at upper right corner and some (less) at the upper left and lower left corners as well as light silvering, which adds a lovely patina.
The image is highly detailed so that each tree is beautifully rendered and, compositionally, directs our gaze to Eleanor, the figure in the dark coat.
