Notes: From the collection of Milton Brown, a friend of Strand's, who was a prominent art historian; to a New York collector.
Brown wrote several essays about Strand's work, including the tribute that is reproduced in Aperture's paul strand, a retrospective monograph. In addition, Brown recorded an interview with Strand, in Philadelphia, a transcript of which is in the Strand Archive.
