CAMILLE PISSARRO AND GEORGE W
CAMILLE PISSARRO AND GEORGE W. THORNLEY
Jeune Paysanne.
Lithograph printed brownish black on chine appliqué, circa 1900. 255x210 mm; 10x8 1/4 inches, full margins. Published by Boussod-Valadon, Paris. A very good impression.
Pissarro likely acted on the advice of Edgar Degas (see lot 131), who had collaborated with Thornley on a suite of lithographs after his drawings (see Reed/Shapiro 25b and lot 241) during the late 1880s, when he decided to create the current work.
