CAMILLE PISSARRO AND GEORGE W
CAMILLE PISSARRO AND GEORGE W. THORNLEY
Jeune Paysanne.
Lithograph printed in brownish black on chine-appliqué, circa 1900. 255x212 mm; 101/8x83/8 inches, wide (full ?) margins. Edition of 100. Published by Boussod-Valadon, Paris. A very good impression.
Pissarro likely acted on the advice of Edgar Degas, who had collaborated with Thornley on a suite of lithographs after his drawings (see Reed/Shapiro 25b) during the late 1880s, when he decided to create the current work.
