  • Notes: William Dickson (1769-1846) was a Scottish immigrant to Canada. In 1816, he founded the town of Galt, Ontario, which later became Cambridge. His son William Dickson Jr. (1799-1877) managed the family's extensive Galt properties. This archive consists mostly of land records, including deeds, receipts, surveys, and related correspondence, kept by both the father and son.
