Viennese born Hauser studied art in his home town at both the Wiener Graphische Lehr- and Versuchsanstalt and the Vienna college of Arts and Crafts. In 1928 he became chairman of the Hagenbund. He used his artistic talents as a stage designer, painter, graphic artist as well as writing. For this, his first one-man show he generates an image reflective of his expressionist, free movement style, with a red face surrounded by green palms and flowing typography.
