CARL WILLMANN'S TRAVELLING LAMP. A lit lamp is placed on a table where it instantly disappears and then reappears on a second table situated a distance from the first. A complete ensemble with both tables and both lamps. The entire mechanical system of this illusion has been restored and operates perfectly. Only 3 complete examples of this illusion are known to survive. They were made to order and in a vary small quantity by carl willmann. Tables are 37 inches tall (94.5 cm); lamps are 19 1/2 inches tall (49.5 cm). Germany, circa 1915.
