Swiss born Vivarelli, spent time in Paris and worked in the Boggieri Studio in Milan, before he returned home and opened a studio in his native Zurich. He co-founded the magazine Neue Graphik along with fellow designers Lohse, Neuberg and Muller-Brockmann, with whom he shares a rigorous, constructivist approach to typography and photography. This poster, printed via lino-cut and letterpress, is a good example of his impeccable style, with its perfectly displayed Helvetica typography. It is a classic example of the Zurich style.
