PORTRAITS. Group of 29 daguerreotypes comprising 4 quarter-plates (including a portrait of a gentleman in a Brady's Gallery push-button case, and another of a couples in a shew case), 23 sixth-plates, several hand-tinted (including one in an unusual pig-skin(?) case; one where the subject signed the cover glass, another with a handwritten descriptive label identifying the subject pasted onto the front cover and a fragment of that label laid in, a vignetted portrait of a woman, and another is an intense-looking bearded young man), plus a ninth-plate and a sixteenth-plate; all but one in cases or half-cases, many separated at hinge. 1850s-60s (A BRADY PORTRAIT).
