Second edition of the French translation by François Filleau de Saint-Martin (1632-1695); four 12mo volumes illustrated with four added engraved titles and thirty-two full-page plates; bound in uniform contemporary speckled calf boards, rebacked, spines with gilt decoration and labels; early signature of Sir John Halkett on each title page and bookplates of his home, Pitfirrane Castle (in Fife Scotland), inside each volume; with bookplate of Robert J. Hayhurst in first volume; 5 1/8 x 3 1/8 in.
