The first, requesting that he speak to the Cabinet official Bassier, who received a letter from Chabrier intended for Mr. Mallet, adding that it has been about 15 days and he still has heard nothing from Bassier. 2 pages, 8vo, with integral blank; horizontal fold. The second, reporting that he will be back in Paris in 8 to 10 days, and adding that he will hurry to his office to sign the document making Chabrier secretary. 2 pages, 16mo, with integral blank; staining at edges from prior mounting, separation at center vertical fold repaired with tissue.
