Fourth collected edition, folio, one of four variants with different publisher's names in the colophon; text edited by William Thynne (d. 1546); title printed within four-piece architectural woodcut border, illustrated with woodcuts of the Knight and the Squire; separate title for the Romaunt of the Rose with woodcut border; text in double column, black letter; bound in full 18th century gilt-tooled sheepskin, tooled in gilt, hinges restored some time ago, losses to endcaps; ex libris Baron Maule with engraved armorial bookplate and signature; Newton Hall, Cambridge bookplate on ffep; lacking final blank; slight marginal staining in first signature; first signature becoming detached, 11 5/8 x 7 1/2 in.
