CHUNG LING FOO (QUA Chee-Ling 1854-circa 1922). Advertising broadside in Chinese, with a small portrait of the magician and the text within an elaborate border in the form of a dragon, 15 1/2x10 1/4 inches (39x26 cm). Circa 1895.

  • Notes: Chung Ling Foo was born in Beijing and was probably the only well-known Chinese magician performing Chinese-style magic during his time. He toured extensively in the United States and Europe. He had a well-known feud with Chung Ling Soo.
