  • Notes: Susan McFarland Parkhurst (1836-1918) was a New York pianist. After her husband went to fight in the Civil War, she began working at a music store, met Stephen Foster, and soon began composing and publishing her own patriotic music. She was known during her career as Mrs. E.A. Parkhurst; her husband died in 1864. Offered here are:
