  • Notes: A newspaper produced by the men of the 81st Ohio Infantry a month after they settled into winter headquarters. Danville is a small village in Montgomery County in eastern Missouri. This single-sheet newspaper features three main articles, all reporting on the regiment's exploits. This copy is marked with one pencil correction, and the name of J.R. Hunt, an adjutant in the regiment. No other copies of this or any other issue have been traced in WorldCat or the Missouri Newspaper Project.
