(COLORADO.) Kansas Pacific Railway. The San Juan Mines. A Compendium of the Mineral Resources of Southwestern Colorado. Lithographed folding map.

(COLORADO.) Kansas Pacific Railway. The San Juan Mines. A Compendium of the Mineral Resources of Southwestern Colorado. Lithographed folding map. 8vo, modern cloth with the original front wrapper bound in, foxing to the front wrapper; minor toning and foxing, terminal signature sprung. Kansas City, 1876

  • Notes: Scarce promotional piece by the Kansas Pacific Railway to encourage silver miners to head for them thar hills. The map, lithographed in Kansas City on delicate tissue paper, depicts all of Kansas and Colorado, noting all the stops on the railroad route as well as the locations of many mines. See Streeter Sale 2188 for a similar pamphlet published a year later. We could not locate any copies of this edition appearing at auction. OCLC locates 7 institutional copies. Not listed in Wilcox.
