Complete History of the Colored Soldiers in the World War. Authentic Story of the Greatest War of Civilized Times and what the Colored Man did to Uphold Democracy and Liberty. Frontispiece and illustrations from photographs. Tall 8vo, pictorial perfect-bound wrappers; crease to the corner of 1 page; cover edges very lightly rubbed. New York: Bennett & Churchill, 1919 E600-900 First Edition, signed by Sgt. J.A. Jamieson. The authorship is not specifically stated, but the Introduction is printed beneath the names of 5 black enlisted men, the presumed authors. The first of these is Jamieson, who contributes a narrative of his own service in the war, and is likely the primary author. Not in Hampton or Work. Blockson Collection 2041
