- Notes: "contributors' edition." one of only twenty-nine numbered copies, this number 11. Wilkins published this history of the proposed expedition as a fundraising scheme before his attempt to cross the North Pole under the ice. According to note on page [3], "This volume has been carried on the Polar voyage of the submarine Nautilus. The signatures of the Expedition's personnel have been entered here at the 'farthest north' attained, as here indicated." However, due to the failure of the expedition, no signatures are present.
