- Notes: All editions of Rickman's Journal are rare, and this Dublin edition, published in the same year as the London first, is among the earliest of the third voyage imprints. "This anonymous journal of Captain Cook's third voyage was once believed to have been written by John Ledyard... This narrative anticipated the government's authorized account by two years"--Hill 1453 (for the first edition printed in London in 1781).
