(CRIME.) Group of 4 cartes-de-visite picturing well-dressed black men,
with "mug" shot descriptions on the verso of the mounts; standard format; on plain mounts without photographer identification. Np, circa 1870-90
- Notes: An unusual group of cartes. The backs bear printed information with blanks to be filled in, describing physical features and crimes. What is baffling is that these "criminal types" are so well dressed, without even a frown on their faces.
