1) Louis James Calvert's (1859-1923) Problems of the Actor. New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1931. Second edition, octavo; bound in publisher's maroon cloth stamped in gilt; pencil annotations throughout; back hinge cracked, text block cracked in two places but otherwise sturdy, corners lightly bumped, spine dull, lacking original dust jacket; with Cronyn's bookplate and ownership inscription in ink on ffep dated 1931; 7 1/2 x 5 in.

2) Benn W. Levy's (1900-1973) The Devil Passes. New York: Samuel French Ltd., 1932. First American edition, octavo; original black cloth gilt stamped; original publisher's dust-jacket printed in black; losses to edges and spine browned; with Cronyn's bookplate and ownership inscription on ffep and library stamp on front panel of dust jacket; 7 3/8 x 5 in.

3) Margaret Kennedy's (1896-1967). Escape Me Never! Garden City, NY: Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc., 1935. First edition, octavo; pencil annotations; original blue cloth stamped in silver; spine sunned and the ends a bit frayed, lacking original dust jacket with Cronyn's bookplate and ownership inscription on ffep.
