Bound volume containing six watercolors over pen-and-ink or pencil, each signed "geo. cruikshank" and mounted on stiff card. Small 4to, 190x170 mm, green morocco gilt by Root & Son, spine darkened to brown. 1830s?
- Notes: From the library of Eldridge P. Johnson (lot 39 in the sale of his Cruikshank collection at Parke Bernet, 29 October 1946). The cover title is inaccurate, as the drawings bear no resemblance to the illustrations for John Taylor's Monsieur Tonson, which were in any case done by Isaac Robert Cruikshank.
