CRYSTAL BELL.
CRYSTAL BELL. This device operates in a fashion similar to the previous lot. Bell is 5 inches in diameter (13 cm). Support rod is 12 1/2 inches long (32 cm). This is mechanical version of the illusion as introduced by Robert-Houdin, which combines the sound effects of the bell with the effects of the no less famous Mystery Clock. The effects are operated by a particularly sophisticated pull on the side of the device. Germany, circa 1910.
