    6 business letters in English from sugar merchants Bishop & Co. to merchant James Morrill Churchill of Portland, ME.  Caibarién, 1871.


    Manuscript business account in Spanish signed by José Castillo y Suarez, addressed to Rufino Fernandez Santander of Cadiz. Havana, 13 June 1874.

    Group of 5 large-format photographs inscribed in Spanish on verso, each about 9 x 6 inches, including a hand-colored portrait of "mi abuelo" Felipe Poey (1799-1891), noted zoologist of Havana; a group portrait of 15 academics including Felipe Poey (illustrated, Poey at left); group of 14 family members at an anniversary celebration; 28 men at "Reunion en la Hacienda de Valle Iznaga"; and construction of machinery atop a palisade in Havana.


    Group of 9 tourist photos of Havana and beyond, various sizes, most captioned in English on verso, or in negative including Cathedral Square, "A Cuban Fruit Store," a blockhouse at San Juan battlefield, "Cutting Sugar Cane," El Caney, and the "Arbol de la Paz" at San Juan. 1908 and undated.
