Folio, thick wrappers, with small losses at the edges, Part 1 worn and lightly soiled; signature on title pages; plates clean and bright. first editions. Racine, Wisconsin, 1910

  • Condition: he plates in each volume are in very good condition. The images range in size from approx. 9x7 to 5x7 inches. Each edition is signed on the front free endpaper, and part 1 is signed on the title page. The bindings are nice and tight.

    Following is a condition report on the exterior of each volume:
    Part 1: lacking rear cover, front cover partially detached, small losses to the edges, worn and lightly soiled. Contents excellent.
    Part 2: very good condition, a few small losses to the edges. Contents excellent.
    Part 3: good condition, small losses to the edges, very minor soiling along edges, top corner of back cover creased with two small losses. Contents excellent.
    Part 4: very good condition, corners lightly bumped. Contents excellent.
    Part 5: good condition, edges very lighlty soiled. Top corner of back cover creased, small losses to back cover. Contents excellent.
    Part 7: Back cover missing. Light soiling along edges of front cover, and a few small losses. Contents excellent.

    There are no hand-colored gravures; most of them have a sepia or greenish cast. The content of the images are picturesque scenes of the northwest, both rural and urban views, with some ethnographic studies.
