Condition: This vintage print is on single-weight, matte paper and beautifully hand-tinted, in light and dark versions of pink. The print is trimmed to the image area and bears the handwritten notations "von Bellmer an Koval, 54, 15, B5, Wander(?) Koval" on print verso.
In raking light there are very minor impressions on the surface of the print, including the number "106." There's a soft diagonal crease along the left edge measuring about 3.5 inches (8.8 cm.) long.
The light indentations and crease are only noticeable upon examining the print very closely and are not immediately visible. An oddly powerful and expertly hand-colored print whose overall impression is quite strong.
From the Bellmer Estate; to Gerd Sander; to An American Collector.
