A native of West Chester, PA, Dane Tilghman spotlights the lost history of African American communities in the US. Embracing a vibrant style and color palette. Tilghman combines elements of cubism, impressionism, and realism to celebrate early 20th-century Black life and culture. He creates textured pieces that seem to leap off the canvas by employing palette knife techniques and various media. Tilghman's compelling art fosters a sense of empathy and respect for people of all backgrounds, enriching any environment it inhabits. Bio Courtesy of the artist's website.
