Etching and aquatint with hand coloring in watercolor on cream wove paper, 1982. 400x540 mm; 15 3/4x21 1/4 inches, full margins. Signed, numbered 58/300 and inscribed "for Andrea Velis" in pencil, lower margin, and "Andrea" in watercolor, lower image.

Andrea Velis, who died in 1994, was one of the Metropolitan Opera's best-loved performers. As a tenor he sang more than 60 roles at the Met and, in a professional career that spanned 40 years, he performed 1,867 times at the world famous venue.
