- Notes: "... the rebels have left Marietta and retreated across it and some remain on this side. We are now about 7 miles from Atlanta. We can clime a large tree close by and see the spires in Atlanta quite plain. On the rout from Marietta the rebels have lost about eleven thousand men in prisiners..."
