The World's Fair offered advertising opportunities for a slew of companies marketing different products. In 1939, Shell produced a map of the fair featuring a driving map of the city on the verso. The map proudly pointed out that there are "more than 1,000 Shell stations in New York and vicinity waiting to serve you." And with the throngs of motorists making their way to New York City to experience the fair, Shell had good reason to advertise aggressively.
