Rockefeller Center's International Building, seen from a worm's-eye-view, through Lee Lawrie's statue of Atlas. The Art Deco masterpiece sits directly opposite St. Patrick's Cathedral, in front of 630 Fifth Avenue (between 50th and 51st streets). Many assume Atlas is carrying the world on his shoulders, but in fact it is the heavens, or in the particular case of this statue, the heavenly vault.
