Philips began manufacturing radios in 1927, and within five years they had sold one million of them. Here, as part of a campaign that explains how licensed radio dealers will take back any outdated model, we see an older man with an early tube receiver radio from the 1920s, rushing to trade it in for a new model Philips. He is being greeted by a man in corporate livery carrying a Super Inductance 638A model, which was manufactured by the company in 1934 and 1935.
