Condition A: crease from left margin, slightly into image.
Located about 20 miles from Rome, the Villa d''Este was built in the mid-16th century by Cardinal Ippolito d''Este. The son of Lucrezia Borgia and the grandson of Pope Alexander VI, d''Este constructed what is considered by many to be the finest Renaissance villa in all of Europe, surrounded by magical gardens containing some 500 fountains.
