- Notes: true first american edition. An unusual and rare printing in that the publishers listed on the title are Cassell of London and Gebbie of Philadelphia. The two worked together only briefly and it is known that Gebbie moved in the early 1870s from their 730 Sansom Street address printed on this title and soon after teamed with George Barrie to become Gebbie & Barrie.
