The Enchanted Mesa of Acoma, circa 1926. 188x275 mm; 7 1/2x10 7/8 inches, full margins. Signed and dedicated in ink, lower margin * New Mexico Landscape. 253x365 mm; 10x14 1/4 inches, full margins. Signed and dedicated in pencil, lower margin. Both very good impressions.

Kent (1888-1981), the sister of Rockwell Kent (1882-1971, see lots 142-146), was born in Tarrytown, New York. She first visited New Mexico in 1916, traveling on horseback along the Colorado Plateau in northern New Mexico. By 1930, she had settled in the Southwestern state. She worked in a variety of media, including watercolor, oil and lithography and was a member of the New York Society of Women Artists.
