DU BOIS. W. E. B. Typed Letter Signed,
to Morris Lewis. One page, 8vo; quite browned; on Crisis letterhead; matted and framed with a portrait of Du Bois. New York, 16 July 1926
- Notes: A letter with excellent content, "I want to congratulate you and your fellow officials upon the success of the Chicago Conference. It was one of the best that was ever held. Enclosed you will find the original memorandum handed me with the names, persons and organizations who were to be especially thanked [not present]. I understand it was made out by Dr. Turner but it was handed me by Mr. Isadore Martin. I marked out the various names as they were included in the resolution which I wrote. I should be glad to have you send to me or Mr. White a final copy of the resolutions of thanks worded as you and Dr. Turner wish."
