Rubricated throughout, and with 5 20-line initials with red penwork decoration (at the beginning of the first work and each of the 4 parts in the second). Folio, 410x285 mm, contemporary German blind-tooled pigskin over bevelled wooden boards with remnants of clasps, covers decorated with panel of intersecting diagonal double fillets filled in with Maria scroll, rosette, eagle, and stag tools, modern morocco lettering piece on spine, worn overall, lacking center- and cornerpieces and catches, numerous wormholes through front cover into opening leaves not impairing legibility; Newcastle upon Tyne Public Library bookplate and date due slip on front endpapers, their scattered unobtrusive rubberstamps in margins. wide-margined copy,/span generally quite clean internally.
