Complete set of 12 engravings, 1596-98. Each approximately 202x133 mm; 8x5 1/4 inches. Each in the first state (of 2), before the address of de Wit. Each with thread margins or trimmed on the plate mark, 7 (of 12) partially laid down to smooth card stock. Very good, evenly printed impressions.
We have found fewer than 6 complete sets with first state impressions at auction in the past 20 years. Bartsch 27-38; Hollstein 21-32.
